Support offered to young people between the ages of 16 and 19 is largely the same as for under - 16s. Termly allowances continue and other grants can still be paid for a variety of educational needs, such as computer equipment and specialist tuition.

The Trust may be able to help your child if they are studying for GCE AS or A2-levels, GNVQ or BTEC courses.

If your child is studying for a work-based qualification such as an apprenticeship or e2e course the Trust may be able to help by supplementing their earnings. It might also be possible to provide course equipment.

If your child is 16-19 and in full-time education, they could also be eligible for Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) paid by the Government.
